September 2011 I had the honor of meeting a multi-talented artist and extraordinary visionary Marti McGinnis who in August of 2010 immortalized me on a page in the book HapiLani. At her Happy Art Studio on Dog Trot Hill in Kentucky, I met her snarky yet lovable celebrity mini horse Iota McHippus and canine author [and my guru] JoJo Mcginnis. Marti threw a unicorn rainbow art party, showed me how to felt, and filled me inspiration. As a thank you I left a handmade book filled with pictures I had painted of Io and his sidekick Alfie McFlakey...and in turn Marti had made a beautful video documenting their adventure for all to enjoy.

My paintings cross and converge in many styles from contemporary abstracts with an Asian flair, custom caricatures done with a manga sensibiity, Japanese pop culture and traditional icons, misbehaving monkeys, and playful equine love. All my creations are originals and one of a kind. With the exception of a few caricatures, everything is made with acrylic and inks...and I'll paint on anything from the traditional to the not so.
